Job Summary: 


The Vice President – Finance Operations would provide leadership and expertise in terms of running a large F&A Shared Services operations (predominantly RTR, PTP, OTC and Risk area with close to 400 employee strength & 35+ countries) and would be responsible for service delivery, stakeholder management, people engagement and building domain expertise. S/he would be accountable for driving improvements around process and productivity across finance and accounts operations. The incumbent would be responsible to identify opportunities for growth and deliver on growth commitments; identify key cost metrics and ensure they are optimized.


Job Description:

  • Responsible for leading the finance operations and provide strategic direction and oversight to the team with a focus on outcome
  • Responsible for driving initiatives to meet organization strategic goals
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to bring automation, simplification and standardization of various processes and successfully drive transformational changes across the finance organization
  • Partner with the Finance leadership team (Global CFO, various regional & BU CFOs) on different collaborative areas to realize the vision of Finance
  • Manage operations managers and their teams; assign work, set performance expectations, assist in problem resolution and monitor progress and drive team’s performance as per the organizational goals
  • Drive the culture of end to end process ownership (Controllership), reporting with insights and an innovative mindset within the GBS team 
  • Focus on enhancing controls for every process and adherence to accounting policies
  • Explore opportunities to minimize the manual intervention in the entire accounting process and also influence the Finance Leadership on the process changes required at the business end
  • Develop the framework and implement by influencing all relevant stakeholders to offshore processes that can stand the centralized statutory audit for all countries being supported out of GBS
  • Develop and track key statistics, trends, and metrics for measuring end to end process health and provide insights on what actions are required to drive behavioral and systemic changes 
  • Ensure adequate training for staff to facilitate coverage for all critical processes – concepts, exceptions to the processes and linkage to the accounting policies
  • To partner with the technology teams and be able to bring about a transformation in terms of automation and drive process improvements across the processes and operations 
  • To take initiative and responsibility for projects, promote teamwork and collaboration between staff, peers, vendors, and customers


Profile Description:

  • Qualified CA/CWA/CMA/CPA with at least 15 years of experience in managing financial operations in a large organization of repute
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a GBS/GSS/GIC setup would be a definitive advantage
  • Hands-on experience in all Finance related areas in SAP – general ledger, fixed assets, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable. 
  • Knowledge of IFRS & understanding of convergence of SFRS with IFRS(is a plus)
  • Proven experience as a head of finance or similar role with in-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices and solid knowledge of financial analysis
  • Ability to make difficult and complex decisions using and interpreting available data or information to positively impact the operations and customer experience
  • Experience in handling large diverse teams and multiple customer-facing functions within the finance organization 
  • Ability to partner with the technology teams and be able to bring about a transformation in terms of automation and drive process improvements across the processes and operations 
  • Ability to take initiative and responsibility for projects, promote teamwork and collaboration between staff, peers, vendors, and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to handle manage multiple large-scale projects with defined deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, leadership skills, influencing skills, problem solving, and decision-making skills are mandatory
