Role Objective:

  • We are looking for an experienced manager instructional design to implement appropriate standards, methodologies and processes focused on the design and development of innovative, best-in-class programs.
  • The manager will mentor and coach team members to improve their instructional design and collaborate with vendors to establish standard instructional design processes, templates, and guidelines to design, develop and maintain training materials within established timelines.
  • Partners closely with the vendors, product development team to provide oversight and leadership in the identification, development, and maintenance of new and existing learning programs, solutions, interventions and experiences for designated business unit functions within Operations.

Professional Know-how:

  • Academic: Master’s Degree, Master of Technology, BE
  • Experience: Overall 3-10 years of experience in content development and instructional design

Working Relationships: 

  • Internal: To develop e-learning and ILT materials as per standards
  • External: Manage vendors and teams spread geographically

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide learning strategy to meet business objectives
  • Devise learning design methodologies, adult leaning principles, standards and processes to determine the overall instructional strategy
  • Conduct external research and benchmarking to ensure strategy, content and delivery model are positioned to industry trends and innovative practices.
  • Determining training requirements, audience analysis, and scope of training modules
  • Developing instructor-led materials and classroom materials
  • Creating student handbook and learner handbook
  • Creating storyboard based on the learning outcomes
  • Creating the Instructional Design Maps, Curriculums, Course Outlines, and Mock-ups
  • Developing instruction modules and materials based on design specifications
  • Developing assessments based on the objectives
  • Confirming SME agreement of detailed schedule and involvement throughout
  • Visualizing and conceptualizing of graphics, animations, and audio effects for WBTs
  • Constructing software simulations using Captivate and Storyline
  • Designing interactive online learning simulations that clearly teach concepts and steps required to complete tasks in a concise and compelling way
  • Defining and designing the product types, approach plans, strategy documents, design documents, templates, style guides, prototypes, estimated ratios, effort hour estimates, and frameworks for continuous quality analysis
  • Crafting the learning goals and objectives – overall solution to the business requirement and designing the end courseware/solution - end to end ADDIE Model
  • Creating processes that suit the delivery requirements, describing the overall learning approach
  • Reviewing deliverables for compliance with standards and design documents
  • Manage vendors for developing e-Learning courseware and mobile learning solutions
  • Present governance reports, create project audit and closure reports for continuous improvement and quality management by assessing what went wrong and what contributed to the success and identifying changes to improve the delivery of future projects

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable related work experience
  • 3 or more years’ experience in instructional design, training, or adult learning theory and application
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Solid attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Knowledge of learning models and methodologies
  • Knowledge of writing standards and style guides
  • Knowledge of ADDIE, Blooms taxonomy, and other learning methodologies
  • Knowledge of content management systems, authoring tools, and graphic tools for developing technical documentation
  • Experience leading large change initiatives
  • Experience in content development standards, style guides, and implementing translation and localization workflow/processes
  • Experience as a project manager in the information technology sector
  • Knowledge of version control systems
  • Proven work experience in product management
